On Sunday in Terralba, Sardinia, Lucinda Brand (Baloise-Glowi Lions) welled up with emotion as she reached the finish line alone, delivering her second straight Cyclo-cross World Cup victory of the season. The win elevated Brand to new heights, extending her podium streak to 52 races dating back to January 21, 2024, when she placed fourth at the World Cup in Benidorm. In the previous season, she stood on the podium in all 33 events, securing 11 victories. The longstanding record for consecutive race podiums—51 weeks—was previously held by Marianne Vos.
