Stefon Diggs, the star wide receiver for the New England Patriots, is facing a lawsuit just days before his team's Super Bowl LX appearance. The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, alleges that Diggs is being sued for defamation and more. According to the lawsuit, Diggs requested that a man arrange for the transportation of his Ferrari from Miami to New York and then to Houston in July 2024. However, the Ferrari was allegedly stolen in Houston. The man claims that law enforcement concluded the theft was committed by third parties, but Diggs started spreading the false narrative that the man had stolen the car. The man vehemently denies the theft and claims that Diggs' false allegations caused his concierge and consulting business to suffer. He also claims that members of Diggs' circle started confronting him after the false narrative was spread. In January 2025, Diggs texted the man, acknowledging responsibility for the actions of those around him. The man also alleges that he was assaulted at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami by two men in Diggs' circle, including Diggs' brother, NFL player Trevon Diggs. The lawsuit claims that the man suffered a torn ACL and other injuries in the alleged attack. Diggs is being sued for defamation, civil conspiracy, and vicarious liability for the actions of the men who allegedly beat the man up. Diggs and others are being sought for damages.
